Downfall/Don't tell your family which costume you chose

From Create Your Own Story

"I am not telling you," you say. "I'm not going to lose the contest. One of you will be the one who has to do that terrible thing. Or maybe even all of you?"

"Really, mom?" Kirsten says. "You are up for this stupid game?"

"Sure. Because I'll win. By not losing. Like you."

"We'll see about that," your daughter says. "You'll never identify me, you'll see."

"Nor me," says Cate. "Debra, give me your key. I am going to change there. If I use our cabin, your mother will have an even greater head start. Now where is this costume shop you mentioned?" Will, Kirsten and your sister hurry off.

"They'll tell each other," Debra says.

"Maybe Will and Kirsten, but not Cate. Did you see her face? She wants to win this herself and make someone do something horrible."

"What if more than one of us wins?"

"We'll see about that. Sweetie, I need some help with my costume. Can you help me?"

"Sure, mum." She follows you to your cabin. "So, you found a way to improve the costume?"

You show her the paint. "Oh," she says, "that's going to be awesome. What do you have in mind?" You tell her you thought of a paint-on pattern that looks like clothing, just like Patrcia Velasquez had as Anck-Su-Namun in the movie 'The Mummy' with Brendan Fraser. Debra's eyes light up. "Damn, that is going to be a lot of work, but it'll look awesome."

You study the label on one of the bottles. "It says here that the paint adheres better if you remove all fat from the skin." You take a quick shower and return to the cabin, only wearing the towel. In the meantime, Debra had prepared the paint. In her hand, she holds one of your make-up brushes. "I think this going to be ruined, but sacrifices must be made if you want to look good, right?"
