"Some of the representatives of Daggerford have been invited to the city. There will be a ball at the Yellowstone Village in the upper district."

"Oh. that is unusual. I thought the Daggerford political figures had refused to talk with the authority of Waterdeep?" you ask. That was pretty much part of the problem.

"Indeed they have. Which makes me curious as to why some of them have decided to show up."

"Agents?"

"Possibly. If they are an actual authority, it would be the ideal moment to open diplomacy. If they are agents, it would be ideal to know what kind of support the Daggerford leaders have in the city."

"So, it's a spy mission!" you ask excitedly. He smiles at your enthusiasm.

"Yes. It is a spy mission," he adds, amused.

"Anything I can do to help?"

"Actually, there is. The ball is mostly going to be nobles from Waterdeep so an elf would stick out like a sore thumb."

"Oh," you add with disappointment.

"But I figured we could use that," he says with a smile and lifts your chin. "If you stick out so much, they won't pay attention to the surroundings."

"That make sense. You want me to be a distraction." you add with a grin.

"Precisely."

"I could do that. I'm good with people too," you add with a smirk.

"I was hoping you'd say yes. We'll have an agent on the field for info gathering. You and I will go there as faces and will try to talk things through and distract the crowd."

"Sounds like a plan. Do we have to prepare anything?" you ask.

"Come tomorrow. My outfit is already done but we will need to prepare yours before the festivities." He adds with a smile, "Oh, yes. I'd have to take your measurements."

"Very well."
