You climb the high dive, intentionally allowing Jared's consciousness enough leeway to perceive what you're doing. You walk out to the end of the board, then suddenly run back toward the ladder, do a cartwheel, and go flying off the back end of the platform. You muster all of your demonic powers to do an amazing backward two-and-a-half somersault flip with two and a half twists in the piked position, what mortals consider the most difficult dive possible. As you hurtle through the air towards the pavement, you relish both your extremely superhuman abilities and Jared's abject horror as his body comes crashing down into a jumbled, crushed hulk of swim jock. You land head first and Jared's psyche is knocked out, but you harness your demonic will once again to drag him back to consciousness so he can experience the exquisite pain and gut-wrenching tragedy of being totally crippled for the rest of his earthly existence. You then wait patiently, allowing Jared's mind to perceive everything, as someone eventually finds him in a massive pool of blood and calls 911. Totally helpless, he's forced to simply watch as a horde of onlookers and emergency responders fill the pool area.

You eventually get bored of this one damned kid's agony, and search the crowd for potential new hosts.
