You sit down at your desk and start working on your assignment. It's not very difficult but you soon become bored. You take out your phone to see what's going on in the world. The first thing you find is an online invite to a party held by Peter, a long time student of the college you go to, at his off campus place. You know he was "asked" to leave the dorms after a whole bunch of chemicals from the college's chemistry labs were found in his room. He's a good guy, doing a double major in Chemistry and Biology with a minor in some art, though he seems to just pop up in various literature and art history classes he's interested in so nobody's sure just what his minor actually is. His only fault is that he's just a little too enthusiastic about his recreational activities.
You notice that a whole bunch of people have replied to the invite, particularly you notice that Cynthia and Lisa have both responded as 'going', while Emily is a 'maybe'. This gives you an excuse to send Emily another message.
"Hey. You not going to Peter's party Friday?"
The reply arrives promptly. "Don't know. You?"
"Yeah, I thinks so. Anyway, I'm done with my assignment for the day. You want some company? ;)"
"Well, I'll go if you go. I've got a bunch of stuff to do, don't know if I have time for you right now."
"Aw. Okay, I'm going then ;). Come on, you'll rot with all that schoolwork :)"
"Haha. Okay. Bring dinner and you've got a deal."
