Chicken out and tell the men to return to Gondor.

The men pack up and go back to Gondor. However, the orcs are not that slow, and are rapidly gaining. Then it happens. A catapult rope snaps and the catauplt spills onto the path, trapping some people...including Boromir under the pieces of wood. The rest of the army makes it back safely, but Boromir and the others meet their doom.
