You jump from tree to tree in hot pursuit. Since you're using the trees, not dodging around them like the horse has to, you easily catch up.
The man is riding the horse hard when you spring onto his armored back. Bits of webbing are trailing from his chainmail, fluttering like pennants in the wind of his passage.
"You trashed my web!" you say.
"Zounds!" the armored man exclaims. "A giant, talking spider!"
He tries to brush you off his back, but you're almost as big as he is.
