You stride over to the soda fountain and order the largest sundae they have. You're in a good mood, so when you see Kerri Lipstein and the stud football player Thurston Long together, you buy them ice cream as well.
"Trying to change your reputation, Mark?" Thurston asks good-naturedly.
You give him the truth. "I don't particularly enjoy fighting, Thurston. I do it only when necessary. Truth is, I'm somewhat insecure, and it helps boost my confidence."
He laughs. "You must have just won a fight, because you're in a great mood today,"
You nod. "Took out Tank."
"Why don't you join the college boxing team?" he asks next. That's a damn good suggestion. You finish your sundae and return home to do homework.
The next day, you're in a mood to spend time in... er, with... Loretta. But the boxing team is practicing after school...
