Cassie tries to escape, but trips and gets surrounded by the giant slugs

Cassie wiggled herself free of the mud just inches ahead of the first slug. she began to run, crashing through the brush blindly. However, she failed to see a stump directly in her path and tripped. Cassie landed hard, leaves sticking to her mud covered face and body. The landing briefly stunned her, so that when she came to, the slugs were everywhere. Cassie screamed, there had to be well over 100 slugs in her immediate area. The slugs ranged in size from slightly larger than a person to a large banana, but most were the size of an average house cat. They were all black and glistening, oozing a thick white slime as they moved.
