You get a bag of chips and a Coke and pay for them. The bored clerk takes your money and give you your change listlessly.
You wander down a couple more blocks as you eat your snack and sip your drink. As you approach a cheap, dingy bar, a very drunken-looking woman stumbles out onto the sidewalk. She's your typical barfly, hard-looking shopworn face, a little bit of a beer belly, probably in her mid-30's. Her ragged brown hair is a mess as she staggers toward you.
