Attempt to kick down the door

You take a few steps back then do your best Chuck Norris impression and attempt to kick down the wooden door. As your foot strikes, the wood door busts immediately open slamming the back wall inside Jim's apartment.
You now find yourself inside Jim's apartment. Its not clean, a little bit messy, but Jim has never been known for his organizational skills.
Its a relativity small apartment continaing 1 bed room 1 bathroom a small kitchen and a small living room. As you glance around the rooms Jim is obviously no where to be found, and there are no clues leading to his whereabouts. Strangely his shoes are next to his bed, his jacket still hung up neatly, and his bed still unmade. Its almost if like he went to sleep and vanished into thin air.
You search the house some more for anything worthwhile for survival. In Jim's closet you find a old baseball bat with the etching "Slugger", that might come in handy for personal protection. You continue to search and find a pair of keys to Jim's 1993 Volvo in his jean pocket. Its a little run down, but it will do.
You put the keys in your pocket then head out of Jim's apartment. The car is in the underground garage so you take the 2 flights of stairs to the basement. There you see the shiny red Volvo sedan.
You hop into the sedan and turn on the engine.
Its got a half tank of gas... enough to get out of the city you think...
At least there will be no traffic.
