Cassie considered telling Ms. Gray that it was in fact a Gypsy that cursed her, but she knew that the nurse wouldn't believe her. Better just to stick a story that it was a medical condition.
"It just started this morning. It got so bad that when I got to school I had to run to the locker room to take off my shorts and shirt." Cassie told the half-truth.
"Hmm, maybe we should try some other clothes out. Stay right here sweetie." Ms. Gray told Cassie as she and her aide collected some spare clothes.
However, it was the same problem with the rest of the clothes as with her original. Her skin would turn red and become very itchy. Pants, shorts, skirts, shirts, sweaters, fleeces, and even dresses, all of them hurt her to wear. It was starting to get worse too, as the minutes continued on, her skin still covered by the underwear was getting irritated now. She didn't say anything at first, but after Ms. Gray had Cassie try on the last of the clothes she brought, Cassie spoke up.
"Uh, Ms. Gray?"
"Yes Cassie?" she asked, looking up at her.
"My underwear... is starting to make me itch now too..." she told the older woman.
"What? Oh well um... the bathroom is right there." Ms. Gray said, leading Cassie to the bathroom.
As soon as the door was closed, Cassie stripped out of her panties and bra. She gasped as she saw how red her skin was. It was really stinging! Cassie ran some water from the faucet and splashed herself with it. Her skin felt slightly better, but she was still hopeless allergic to clothes.
