War has begun between the Osean Federation and the Kingdom of Erusea. The Oseans under the former leadership of President Vincent Harling, led the construction of a massive structure known as the Space Elevator, a massive tower 100,000km tall to produce energy for the Usean continent which had not recovered from the Ulysses Asteroid in 1999. Erusea however, feared that the Space elevator would be used to politically and economically control the Usean continent. In response Erusea has declared war on Osea, the International Union Peacekeeping Force, and the other nations of Usea and seized the Space Elevator.
