"Hey uhhh Sarah, you got a phone don't you? I need to text my mom and tell her something real quick. I accidentally left my phone at home." she smiles and says "Sure, just don't let the teacher see you using it, I don't want to lose my phone for the day." after you text your mom and tell her something pointless you give it back and say "Here's your phone back but what's your number? Maybe we can hang out later after school at the park." you can tell she really likes the idea and she says "Yeah that sounds great!" she scribbles down her phone number on a piece of scrap paper and gives it to you. You and her continue working on math until the end of class when you realize you don't have any more classes with her through the day. You could ask her to skip the rest of the school day with you but it might cost you your friendship if she says no.
