You frantically ask the Doctor what is going to happen to your classmates. After all, you may not like them, but it wouldn't be quite fair to leave them frozen in time for all eternity.

He drifts off, almost thinking about his previous statement, as if realizing there wasn't much truth to it. After pondering this for a bit, the Doctor snaps out of it and rocks back and forth on his heels, pulling on his suspenders and grinning.

The Doctor: Well, anyway, I can unfreeze them at any old time. We just have to hurry on back to the TARDIS. But, there has to be some reason why you didn't freeze with them... That's why I need to take you with me.

The Doctor leaned in, bringing his voice to a whisper.

The Doctor: I think you might have the key to saving this universe.

You contort your face in shock and disbelief. Sure, finding it odd that you're not frozen is one thing, but believing that you can save the entire universe? That's taking it a bit too far. And the question you asked for clarification is only bringing up more questions. For example: What the fuck's a TARDIS?
