Hide in the hallway

You rush behind a conveniently placed bookshelf in the hallway. As long as your Mom goes downstairs and doesn't turn her head she won't see you here.
The doorbell rings again. You wonder to yourself whether hiding here was a good idea. You didn't want your Mom to catch you spying on her, but you're in a very obvious place right now.
The door to your parent's room opens and your Mom walks out wearing only a robe. You see her walk down the stairs without looking back.
