[edit] About Puffles

Puffles are small, round, furry creatures that were first discovered in the early part of 2006. These friendly little creatures make great pets because of their loyalty and friendliness.

[edit] Types of Puffles

There are 5 different types of puffles, each with a different personality.

  • Blue Puffles are mild tempered and content. Their favorite toy is a ball. Blue Puffles are special because anyone in Club Penguin can adopt them.
  • Pink Puffles are very active and cheery. They love to excercise by jumping rope or playing on their trampolines.
  • Black Puffles are known to be a little mischievious and off tempered. However, they love to play and make a great pet for anyone who likes a little bit more personality.
  • Green Puffles are very energetic and playful. They like to clown around on their unicycles or play with their propeller caps.
  • Purple Puffles are lots of fun to have around. They enjoy blowing bubbles and are terrific dancers, but they can be a bit fussy, especially at mealtime.
  • Red Puffles are are adventurous and enthusiastic. They are fearless when attempting daring tricks and spend a lot of their playful energy on a surf board. Rockhopper brought these puffles to Club Penguin on his ship from Rockhopper Island.

[edit] Adopting Puffles

Puffles can be adopted in the pet shop. Click on the pets catalog on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Click ‘Adopt’ in the catalog for the puffle of your choice. When you adopt your puffle, you get to choose a name for him/her. Members can buy up to eight puffles of any color. Non-members can buy one blue puffle. Once you've adopted your puffle, he/she will be waiting for you in your igloo to come take care of it.

[edit] Caring for your Puffle

Click on your puffle to view its player card. Your puffle's player card has some very important information on it. It tells you how much energy your puffle has, how healthy it is, and if it needs any rest. If your puffle gets hungry, you can buy food to feed it. Click on the food button at the bottom right of your puffle's player card. Healthy food like Puffle-O's will fill up you puffle. You can also give your puffle a treat, like bubblegum or a cookie. If you give your puffle a treat when it is happy, it will do a trick for you with that treat. If you give your puffle a treat when it is not happy, it will stick its tongue out at you! Playing with your puffle keeps it active and healthy. To play with your puffle, click on the play button at the bottom left of its player card. If a puffle has enough rest, it will play with you. If you take really good care of your puffle, you might see it start playing in other ways! If your puffle needs rest, click on the middle button on the bottom of its player card. Your puffle will sleep for about 10 seconds. Don’t make your puffle sleep too much because it isn’t healthy!

[edit] Puffle Furniture

To buy furniture for your puffle, go to the pet shop (located in the Plaza).

  • Click on the yellow catalog
  • Click the “Buy” button for the item you want to buy.
  • The red catalog allows you to adopt a puffle.

[edit] Leaving Your Puffle

When you leave your igloo to explore other parts of Club Penguin, your puffle will still get hungry, require sleep, and want attention.

  • To keep your puffle happy, you should check up on them at least every hour while you're online.
  • If you stop taking care of your puffle, it will eventually get bored and run away. If your puffle runs away, you can’t get it back and will have to adopt a new one and take better care of it.
  • When you leave Club Penguin, your puffle goes into “Pause Mode”. In Pause Mode, your puffle will stay exactly how you left it until you return to Club Penguin. It will not get hungry or tired during Pause Mode, and will not run away from home.
