Backstory:

Kaia was born and grew up in Lahaina. Her parents were and still are both employed by local tourist resorts, her father supplying them with fish and her mother a cleaner. Kaia received slightly above average grades throughout her primary and secodary education, and at the end of high school, was overjoyed to discover that she'd got the grades required to enter a college course doing website design and IT. Then she was dismayed by the cost. Her family couldn't afford to send her to college, so instead she'd have to work, save up her money and maybe she'd get in in a year or two. After jobhunting for a while, she was hired as a waitress at the Aloha Luao restaurant in Kaanapali Beach Resort. The restaurant's uniform consists of the stereotypical grass skirt, bikini top and flower necklace. Although she considers this stupid and demeaning, she needs the money so puts up with it, giving service wih a (rather forced) smile. She hates her job, and would quit instantly if she could. Kaia splits most of her free time between making websites and going to the beach.

Skills:

Kaia can make a pretty damn sweet website. She's good enough at the technical side of things to be able to fix most common computer problems. She's a good swimmer and surfer and- because of her job- can string flowers into chains pretty well. Kaia has a good short term memory, able to remember recent stuff in detail.
