History/Background:

Adrian grew up in a small town near Danville, Virginia. Ever since childhood, he was fascinated by the Vikings, so it was only natural that, at 16, he joined Geforthan Strandii, the local group of RANA*. Starting off with a nine foot spear, he worked his way up the ranks and is now qualified in all weapons except the javelin and mace. He developed a taste for combat archery and, saving up to buy his first bow, proved himself to be competent enough to be allowed to shoot on the field. After completing high school, he enrolled in a carpentry course at Virginia Tech. He did reasonably well and was hired soon after graduating. A few years passed, and he decided to work for himself. Although the paperwork was a pain in the arse, his company is relatively successful- although he'll never be a truly rich man, he earns enough to live well and indulge his hobby. Speaking of which, shortly after starting up his own business, he decided to have a go at making his own bow- he was an archer and knew how to work wood, it just made sense. After several failed attempts, he finally managed to make a decent bow. Since then, he's made several more for himself and friends, and is quite good at it. He never realised that this skill was probably more marketable than regular carpentry. He now lives just outside Danville. Years ago, people in RANA began calling him by his authentic name outside battles, and it stuck. Eventually, hearing others call him this, other people started doing so too. He doesn't mind. Ketil sounds much cooler than Adrian, anyway.

Useful Skills:

• Damn good archer- could easily hit a bullseye multiple times, probably splitting the arrow. Of course, he rarely wants to hit bullseyes. His preferred target is the 'nads.
• Skilled fighter with the following weapons: scramseax, 9 foot (2 handed) spear, 6 foot (1 handed) spear, sword, langseax, handaxe, broad axe.
• Has practical, first-hand knowledge on how to make lots of stuff from wood, and how to use the neccessary tools.
• Can make bows
• Can, if neccessary, make his own clothes
• Can make chainmail

Inventory:

On person:

• Keyring holding keys for his work van, non-work van, house and garage and a bottle opener and.
• 2 Pens and 6 pencils
• A battered steel toolbox containing various items including, but not limited to, a 30cm ruler, 2 tapemeasures, a Stanley knife, multiple screwdrivers of various shapes and sizes, a few spanners, an adjustable wrench, a claw hammer, ball peen hammer, a file and a manual plane.

In work van:

• Assorted power tools
• Various other tools
• Lots of bits of wood

In non-work van:

• Two round shields and one kite shield
• Scramseax, longsword and handaxe (All blunt)
• 4 9 foot spears and 2 6 foot spears (Blunt, ball-tipped)
• His current favourite longbow in a sheath, with two quivers of arrows- one full of sharps, one holding combat blunts.**
• Another toolbox, this one containing the equipment neccessary for vehicle and equipment repair.
• Chainmail hauberk, leather gambeson, nasal spangenhelm
• His 'soft kit'- authentic Viking clothing.

In his home:

• Various stuff, but most notable are the assorted weapons- several more scramseaxes, a langseax, another longsword, a broad axe and a large number of shields and spears (These last two are kept by him for the rest of the group. Some are owned by others, but most are communally owned group equipment.) All these weapons are blunt.

*RANA- Regia Anglorum North America **For any of you who aren't familiar with these, they're arrows with rubber heads. Make no mistake, they still frickin' hurt if you're shot.
