Physical Description:
A blob of slightly gooey flesh, purple in colour, about the shape and size of a beachball. She is completely covered in tentacles, which can change their thickness and length to suit her needs. They can stretch up to seven feet long, but are usually only a couple of feet long. The tentacles on her underside are usually thickest, as they are used for support and propulsion.
Background:
Cassandra is a GELF, designed to care for and see to the needs of passengers on Vuorq'ta Cruise Lines, a now-defunct space cruise line. She and the rest of her batch worked on the Ven Tali, one of Vuorq'ta's cheaper cruise ships. About twenty years after she began service on the Ven Tali, something happened to it. Not having anything to do with the ship's operational systems, she had no idea just what. But all of a sudden, the lights and power went out. She was trapped in a supply room with a few other GELF servants. A very long time later, a salvage ship found the Ven Tali, now a drifting derelict. They boarded it and commenced stripping it of anything they could make a profit from. When they cut through a bulkhead into the supply room and found the GELFs, who had been living off of the food stored in there for the past several decades, they were understandably shocked and surprised. Still, they were happy to rescue them. Cassandra and her 'siblings' made the salvage crew very happy on their way to the nearest spaceport, keeping them pampered with a steady supply of drinks, snacks, pillows, etc. Upon reaching the spaceport, the GELFs went their seperate ways. Cassandra and her 'sister' Loretta soon left, looking for work. Loretta found a job as an air hostess for El Cheapo Airlines, while Cassandra applied to a certain bar...
Interesting Notes:
- She's happy to be paid in food and a bit of space to sleep in.
- She's often rather formal, though the years since her original job have had a little effect on her- she has picked up the odd colloquialism or two.
