Mori is a third-year student at Ouran Academie. He is the tallest, most silent member of the Ouran Host Club. Despite the fact that he rarely speaks or smiles, his tall, tanned, and handsome figure earns him many customers. According to Kyoya, "his taciturnity is his selling point," and many of his admirers are the more introverted and serious girls at Ouran. Oddly enough, he's labeled the "wild type" host. Mori is the national champion in kendo. In contrast to Honey, who is bad-tempered when he wakes up, Mori becomes uncharacteristially talkative and friendly when he is tired.

Also, Mori is Honey's cousin. (Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka.) The Morinozuka family had protected the Haninozuka family for many generations. However, the two families were joined by marriage two generations ago, the families became related to each other, thus breaking the master-servant tradition. Nevertheless, Mori still faithfully protects Honey and is always by his side, attending to his wishes and watching out for him.

Mori was roped into the Ouran Host Club at the same time as Honey, and while he is quite content to play the part of the strong and silent lover, he does not lead girls on and his affections are never truly given; mainly because he already holds a special someone in his heart - Honey. He is the only person to call Honey "Mitzukini" and often the only person Honey will listen to during one of his temper tantrums. He has also taken a gentle, big-brotherly liking to Haruhi Fujioka.

Mori turned up on the island as the last of the Host Club and immediately tracked down Hunny. He considered joining the prizefighting tournament to earn some money but was dissuaded from it by Kyouya. He also helped in preperation for the great host Club ball that was held. Currently he works moving things around for people. He reads the forums avidly, but doesn't comment much.
