Shingo Yabuki

From Canonwars

Yabuki Shingo was a student at the same school as the slacker Kusanagi Kyo when he ended up admiring the great fighter. After a time, he ended up seeking him out for training. Though he was below par, he ended up getting that training. He's a bright and charismatic young man who does all he can to do good for others, even if he sometimes gets lost in the process. He's a little arrogant about his abilities, but he's also striving to do all that he can. After all, he's not as good as the ones with the flames, but he does wish he had the ability to be like them.

Background

Again, Shingo was a student at the same school as Kyo, and for a time, he wanted to be just like him. After an amount of hounding Kyo, he ended up being taken under his wing to be trained. Though Kyo had moments in which he was less than attentive, he was, for the most part, very willing to help Shingo out and help him become a better fighter. Shingo himself proved to be less "naturally" talented and more focused on hardwork, but he still learned a lot of similar moves to Kyo—even if he lacked the flames to make them look sharp.

After time, Shingo, Kyo, Yagami Iori, and several others ended up finding themselves in a few rough patches. There was even a period of time in which Shingo teamed up with Maxima and K' while Kyo was missing, during the NESTs saga. It was a difficult time for him, especially as he had to enter training under Kyo's father. However, it turned out that training might have been the best for him, especially as he shows up at the tournament in 2003 and has the ability to "produce flames." Whether or not he actually managed it is unknown, but he tried it all the same.

In Purgatory

Currently, he lives with Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru in their apartment. He eats quite a lot, goes to school to finish it out, and trains quite often. He's not very fond of Iori, or his relationship with Kyo, and he's not afraid to make that known.
