Jack Sparrow to put it simply is a pirate. Sparrow's trademark physical characteristic is a slightly drunken stagger, accompanied by slurred speech and awkwardly flailing hand gestures that make him appear unfocused. In truth, Jack is anything but ... well ok, he is usually drunk - but there is a method to Jack's madness. In fact, Jack Sparrow is an unusually altruistic pirate, he will risk himself to save others, most notably Will and Elizabeth. Sparrow is an honorable, if self-serving, man who adheres to the "Pirates' Code." He believes there are pirates who can still be "good men" ( but he'll never admit to such ). Jack is always seen carrying the following effects: flintlock pistol, tricorn hat, sword, his captain's coat, and what appears to be a compass that doesn't point north. Though he is without his ship, The Black Pearl, Jack is currently in the market for a new one.
