The youngest of The Endless, Delirium was once known as Delight, the personification of joy. Over a great deal of time, however, she became Delirium instead - the personification of madness and instability. Her realm is constantly changing and defies the laws of gravity, physics and common sense.
She helped her brother Dream locate their brother Destruction, who had both abandoned his post and gone into seclusion. During the journey, Delirium showed she was capable of maintaining stability, though it was a great strain on her to remain that way. After finding Destruction, she was loaned the talking dog Barnabus as a companion, who serves as a voice of reason in an otherwise unreasonable environment.
In Purgatory
Delirium lives in an apartment with a closet that leads into her realm on most days. That is, when the closet isn't off visiting other parts of the world. But at least it's nice enough to bring her back souvenirs. She does odd jobs in various places when not spending time with those of her siblings who have appeared in Purgatory.
When her brother Destruction arrived, she was so happy that she inadvertantly caused thousands of winged rubik's cubes to appear all over the island.
