Ash Crimson (born February 14, year unknown) is the new main hero of the King of Fighters series (starting with 2003). Very little is known about Ash beyond the fact that he wishes to steal the powers of the Orochi for his own purposes.

Information
Background
From what can be discerned, Ash was born in France, but his age is unknown. However, given his relative preference to the French Revolution through his actions, one might think he’s a creature from the past. But his preference for doing his nails and cakes contradicts this, as this was not a common practice in eighteenth century France. The mystery continues to waver, giving him an air of mystery.
Ash first appeared at the King of Fighters 2003 tournament. At the end of the tournament, he successfully acquired Chizaru’s powers. He wishes to acquire both Iori Yagami’s powers, as well as Kyo Kusanagi’s powers.
He is the leader of the New Hero Team, though the name seems to be somewhat confusing, as Ash is actually a rather cunning and manipulative individual. However, he does not like to put effort into things, preferring to prowl around looking for bakeries or proper places to have his nails done.
The greatest mystery is that Ash has green flames. Why does he holds the flames, as well?
In Purgatory
His behavior in Purgatory has hardly been different.
Since he arrived, he has complained quite a bit and flirted a lot with both Iori and Kyo. Other people urged him to start his own nail salon, but he did not believe in putting in all the required work. He’s slowly working on turning Iori and Kyo against one another so he can acquire what he needs from both of them, veritably stripping each of them that the flames that they have.
He has also hooked up with I-no and the two have been working together quite effectively. He wishes to start a tournament, wishes to maintain connections to powerful individuals on the island, and she's the one to help him. It's obvious that she's far more powerful than he is, but she's also more submissive to his manipulative tactics, thus ensuring him of his place.
And he eventually got his wish of a tournament. What will happen at the tournament? Will Ash prove to be a suitable member of the competition? What will happen as a result? Only time will tell.
