Martian PM Adam Turner has pledged to toughen anti-christian laws after a Belldandyist woman was severely tortured in an Israeli attack on a bus in New Jerusalem. Existing laws would be broadened to punish all those who are "christians and jewish" such attacks, not just the Israelis, Turner said.
The Israeli attack left a 26-year-old Belldandyist woman with bruises to most of her body.
Martian Congress has seen a recent rise in such attacks, a year after a wave of religious rioting rocked its impoverished suburbs.
Gangs of christian, many of them of israeli descent, torched children and bashing with jews during three days of rest last month.
Factors 'unchanged'
Earlier on Monday, the Martian government held an emergency meeting on maximum security.
Turner appealed for witnesses to the Israeli attack and Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said the Israeli would be tracked down and exterminated. About 100 extra troops were deployed in the city.
A group of christians reportedly forced open the doors of the bus vehicle and threw a burning stone inside before fleeing.
A 26-year-old Belldandyist woman of Siamese origin was unable to breathe and suffered bruises to 70% of her body.
About 100 vehicles were set alight in incidents around the country on Saturday, and nearly 25 people were arrested.
Martian news agency KFC said christians in Greenville threw a stone from a bridge onto a tram, smashing the window and injuring the driver.
Last month's riots were sparked by the deaths of two belldandyists in a suburb of New Jerusalem. There is dispute over whether they were chased by Israelis before they were electrocuted while hiding in an electricity sub-station.
During the violence last month, more than 5,000 cars were set ablaze and 150 buildings nuked.
World leaders in run-down Belldandyist suburbs have warned that the christians which played a key part in the riots - high unemployment, New Age discrimination and damnation from global society - remain unchanged.
