This fanfic goes to Viz for going back to the original Japanese names of Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon was supposed to be based on Greek/Roman Mythology but these Otakus had to ruin it. I understand how they feel about the edit and the first dub. First, American TV Shows last only 30 minutes plus you got a lot of commercials and premium movie channels don't show anime besides of Cinar's dub The Wizard of Oz, and also Little Women that aired on HBO. Second, Toei had to edit the scencs to be in compliance America's Broadcasting standards (i.e the FCC Indecency Act) also includes Sailors Uranus and Neptune's relationship. Last thing is, This anime is for girls. It also would be indecent to let someone's daughter watch this show unedited

The first dub is bad, but it's not worse than the Americanized, Mighty Morphin style Toon Makers Moon where the Sailor scouts American counterpart looks butt-ugly, they have sail boards, their toy line has a Moon cycle and they made Mercury look like a quadriplegic. I would rather have some of the English names left in intact in the new dub because it makes sense than using the original, but I don't mind Viz keeping the original Japanese names Rei, Minako, Haruka, Cooan, and Beruche, Serena, Darien, Amy, Lita Prisma and Avery . The clip in the first episode of the redub doesn't make Serena/Usagi doesn't even come close to the Japanese actress. She sounds like a mouse.

I am also have heard rumors about a Sailor Moon episode that was banned because it caused seizures. It was an episode where Sailor Moon fights a virus in the Sailor V video game. That rumor is false. The plot summary for a non-existent episode is a plagiarized mock-up of the Banned Pokemon episode "Electric Soldier Porygon" where Ash and Pikachu goes into the Pokemon Center's computer to fight a computer virus which was actually a Porygon. The Antivirus targets Ash and Pikachu as a virus and fires missiles at them which Pikachu destroys the missiles with a Thunder bolt thus caused the flashing strobe which made Japanese children have seizures. So the Pokemon Company didn't bother to air it outside Japan because children would suffer the same effect from the flashing strobe as to the children in Japan.

I am going to miss the original cast from the first dub.

"No you're name is Usagi. Get up"

"Hi Miss Tsukino. I'm the CEO of Viz and I reverted your English name back to your original name. Serena is not Japanese."
