Chapter 2: Yuichi in pain.
"Are you going to be okay, Yuichi?"
"I don't know, Kano."
"At least eat."
"Kano. Let's leave him alone."
Yukino looks at Yuichi. Yuichi turns head away in shame.
"If you need to rest Yuichi. You can sleep on our sofa chair." said Miyako.
"Thanks, Mama Miyako." Yuichi slipped. "I mean Mrs. Miyazawa. Sorry my words just slipped"
"It's okay. I never had adopted a boy. I asked my husband Mr. Miyazawa if we could have a son, but denied we already have three girls.
"Mama Miyako, has Yukino been this way like that?"
"Tsukino said she pretends to be Miss Perfect. I don't understand. It feels like she hates me."
"Yukino, to tell you the truth, she may study, but she will always lounge around. I appreciate you're trying to help getting her back to her studies."
"If only I had the chance to change her life."
"Not everyone is perfect, Yuichi." "I'm going."
"Bye-ni."
"We'll that was an accident to call my grandmother's past self as 'Mama Miyako'"
Yuichi turned on the TV and saw a commercial of a high school girl about to eat instant noodles.
He changed the channel and saw a snake girl licking an empty plate with a tall glass of ice cream drink with a cherry on the bottom. Changed it again and another commercial of a girl skipping.
Yuichi starting singing to himself "What she's doing now?" then he fell asleep. There was darkness all around him. He saw Yukino in front of him. Her face began to change into a monstrous look. Then the spotlights turned on and he saw her again.
"You think the world revolves around you."
Yuichi woke up and saw the family's puppy kissing him. It was Pero Pero, the puppy Aunt Tsukino used to have.
"Pero Pero."
Yuichi feels sorry for the puppy. His Aunt Tsukino told him the tragic day the family puppy was killed by a truck.
"I wish I did something to prevent this from happening."
It was after school. Yuichi heard Yukino coming in.
"Yuichi. About the other day. I want to apologize for getting mad at you."
"It's alright. No apologies." Yuichi insisted. "I'm only thinking of myself, thinking that the world revolves around me, not thinking about the sick people around the world that needs to be cared for or those who have the need to study. I care no one but myself. It would be better if my existence be erased from my family's and everyone's lives."
"Who told you that?"
"My mom. she dared me to go back in time and stop her and my father from meeting each other and If I go back I would have to admit to her that she was right."
"Why would a mother do such means things like that?"
"I don't want to talk about it. I just don't."
"What's this your wrote."
"Scientific methods. Mathematical equations. I'm sorry I used your books."
"That's okay."
"How can you study when you really lounge around?"
"You really have to butt in people's business."
"I just asking."
"My dream is to become an inventor or was."
"Every time I bring my average-to-best projects home, mom just pretends that I'm not there."
"Is that another reason why she made a mean dare to you?"
"No. It kinda made me feel invisible, imaginary. You know what. I have to go see if Mama Miyako is ." "Darn it."
"Sorry I accidentally called your mother Mama Miyako."
"Kano. Tsukino. Welcome back."
"A little better. Yukino seem to have come around."
"One game with me before dinner."
"Let me lay this out. Studying isn't competition."
"Whatever you say. But, Yuichi is your family abusive?"
"Abusive?"
"Yukino, my family isn't as perfect. My father he seems to feel sorry for me, but for mom I never gave up on her."
Doorbell rings.
"Speaking of which, your mom's back."
"Grandfather Miyazawa."
"So this is the Yuichi I heard about." "
"It's okay. She came around. Told her that studying isn't a competition."

"Her grades are slipping."
"This is because of that boy Soichiro. His grades are slipping as well."
"Then there's no choice."
"I can't believe they told Grandfather and Grandmother Miyako that my family was abusive."
"I told them my family isn't perfect but I haven't gave up on them."
"You're always welcome into our family."
"thank you. I'll think about it."
"ouch."
"May I please be excused."
"Oh man. This pain is bothering me." Yuichi groaned. "What's happening to me."
Yuichi cries in pain.
"Yuichi are you alright?" asked Yukino

"Is Yuichi alright?"
"He doesn't seem to have a virus. Whatever he is suffering from is unknown to us. All we can do is hope."
"You were lucky to bring him here. Is this boy your brother?"
"Sort of."
Yukino looks out the window worried about Yuichi.
"Mom."
"Yuichi."

Yuichi woke up. He saw that an envelope that is labeled "To Yuichi from Mama Miyako". Inside of it was money and a note that reads "Yuichi, hope you get better. - Mama Miyako"
"My grandmother sent me this?" He wondered but then rested his eyes.
"You come to."
"Nurse."
"You were lucky she brought you here. You should be proud to have a big sister, right?"
"Uh, Yes. I'm Yuichi Miyazawa."
"Pleasure to meet you. Well be sending you home as soon as the paperwork is filed."
"Wow. What a way to hide my real identity." Yuichi smiled to himself. "It was so brilliant for me to use my mother's maiden name. I should thank Yukino for this."
After Yuichi was released, he ran and skipped happily.
