From Bubblegum Wiki

Okay Teenagers, take off your thinking caps.

The North American anime network Anime National is now airing pilot episodes of the 2009 Full Metal Panic: In The Hood original series in its upfront, even though it has been voice acting characters since it made in and screen played last week. This series was one of the three television anime that Funimation was slated to stream this season within a week of the Japanese airings. Funimation has not announced if the new Full Metal Panic alternate's availabilty on its schedule is temporary or not. The pilot is still available on ANP On-Demand.

The North American anime distributor Funimation has issued a new statement in regards to the pilot episode of Soul Piece:

As anime fans know, Taylor Entertainment and Anime National Pictures have planned for the first ever On-Demand telelcast of the pilot ‘Soul Piece’ tonight at 9:00 pm CDT., just one minute after its premiere on Taylor Media's Anime National. Unfortunately, in the last 24 minutes we have determined that the Taylor Media's satellite was decrypted, even though we enjoy Free-To-Air . An unknown individual accessed and telecasted episode 000 On-Demand and as a direct result of signal piracy, all U.S. and Canadian fans will pay subscription to access to this great original series for the immediate future. We will make every effort to locate and terminate the emmployee(s) to the fullest extent of the network and will provide updates regarding this most serious matter.

Funimation has also replaced the original pilot on its website — which less specifically stated that Soul Piece was now available due to signal issues — with the above statement.

At this time there is no further information as to if, or when, the Soul Piece simulcast will air on Anime National.

[edit] Taylor Media Introduces Its Pay-per-view network ANP Cinema to the Upfront

The North American television company Taylor Media has introduced its Pay-per-view network to the Upfront on Saturday. However, it cautions that the network "is undergoing uplink proceedures. Please pardon any signal interruptions." Most of the Anime National Original movies that ANP Cinema's website had been uploaded before the outage are now available again. The notable exception to Anime National's Shin Chan and the California Stimps movies, which has been set to premiere June 30.

Taylor Media CEO Josh Taylor acknowledged last night that his PPV network ANP Cinema had inadvertently exposed channels of ANP Cinema 1 and ANP Cinema 2 to potential leaks of signal theft before their original premiere dates. Taylor Media said later this night that it brought its ANP Cinemas temporarily off air to implement "improvements that need to be made for security reasons and otherwise," and has since been testing its Pay-Per-View network setup.--Edtropolis 19:07, 13 June 2009 (PDT)
