Anime 100 is a cable network that is available to markets in the United States without an affiliate of the Anime National. It is usually available in very small television markets.
Anime 100 airs the Anime National primetime and children's programming schedules from Kids Box TV, along with Cosplay events, and syndicated anime programming outside network hours. Anime 100 also carries one original program from 1995 - 1998, The Rachael Katz Show that airs weekday mornings at 10:00 AM, which is also carried on non-Anime 100 stations. Because Anime 100 has grown to become present in most television markets over the air on local full-power or low-powered stations, or as digital subchannels of other stations, Anime 100 had in turn big to the point where very few areas of the nation had a need for it. Also, if a viewer in a Anime 100 market had digital satellite service from TaylorCOM, it was possible to watch Anime 100 via the satellite services after receiving permission from Taylor Media Stations Group, and in some cases, the Anime 100 station with rights to Anime National programming in the market.
Anime National was launched in 2006, when Anime National's reach was only 91.75% of the TV homes in the country. In comparison, as of 2009, its market share is now 98.97%. At its peak, Anime 100 served nearly 2 thousand viewers.
By October 1, 2006, when it was originally scheduled to launch, the cable systems that used Anime 100 had become so big, it really made economic sense to operate.
Due to this constant uprise of Anime 100 carriage, as more local or adjacent-market Anime National affiliates become unavailable in these smaller markets, Anime 100 Launched on October 12, 2006. The launch was delayed until then to allow non-Anime National stations to quickly replace a Anime National affiliate on its digital subchannel with other networks. Because of this launch, an estimated 6,000 cable subscribers may have gain access to a Anime National station.
