The Stanhope Foundation

From Brass Goggles

The Stanhope Foundation is a privately owned museum in Northfield, Birmingham, it's main exhibits being a collection of oddities and curiosities gathered by it's much lauded and ridiculed patron, Juxtimon. A large portion of the accessions housed at the Stanhope Foundation were purchased from the Imperial Bureau of Information upon it's closure in 1899, while others were gifted by generous benefactors. The collections include biological, anthropological, ethnographical, spiritual, mechanical and scientific objects, the most popular of which is claimed to be the foot of a troll.

Although primarily a private collection, the public are granted entry by either appointment or invitation. Entry normally requires a donation of either a curiosity to be added to the ever expanding repository or a vial of dirt from the home of the visitor.
