World's Fair

The 1939-1940 World's Fair in New York City was the first World's Fair to focus on a future-oriented, utopian view. Herman and Jane visited this fair about a month after its opening during their honeymoon with Marg and Willis Bucher on April 30, 1939, and the Young family went later that summer.
