HB Journal for Mar 10, 1939

From Brackbillwiki

I got awake with good intentions but went back to sleep for too long a stretch. That made me late again. Things went nicely all day long. The sun shone cheerily and kept us happy. I tired myself out running up & down steps and around the corners.

I loitered too long after work and was late for supper which was served about six.

After supper we played with the pup. Warren went away, but we three practiced our cantata, not getting very much accomplished. I went off to bed in good time.

? Have you filed your Federal Income Tax Report? What income?

Commentary

The journal that Herman was writing in was a pre-printed journal (from the National Blank Book Company of Holyoke, Massachusetts) that listed days of the year and occasional special reminders, such as the income tax one shown above. These will be shown in the text only when Herman pointed them out.
