[edit] Geography and Climate
Nordu Pont rests in a relatively small hill valley just north of the Ebon Mountains. The town is situated around a main street, with the majority of the buildings along it. Outside of this, varied fields stretch in all directions except for those towards the Ebons, where small cart lines and equipment dumps are scattered about en route to the Mountains. The weather is typically fair. although there is less than average precipitation as a result of the shielding of Ebons from the Centremare. The land, as a result, is often littered miscellaneous grains and weeds, with trees and larger plants present, but well spaced.

Nordu Pont is one of the oldest towns in Distre, though, on account of the climate and the better mining in the North, it never grew beyond a few hundred souls. Mining has historically been its business. However, farming and certain smithing does exist to a degree in order to fill out what is needed.
[edit] Society and Culture
There is a saying that goes "Drinking and rocks, that's Nordu Pont." This is quite true. Nordu Pont is a slow moving and relatively poor town that hasn't seen boom in what seems to be a millennium. The arcane conservatories, the smelters, even the storehouses and travel points all were built and maintained outside of its limits, leaving a bar scene and mining equipment. There exist no Followers, no Machine Cultists, no influence of the outside world beyond the Prince's Mayor and the occasional survey team. Nonetheless, newcomers are a welcome surprise to the aging population.
