The Covenant Grounds

Surrounded by a partial palisade, there are several trees that look like they once bore fruit. An herb garden is untended and fallow. Several storehouses lie empty, and a building that might have been an herbarium is crushed next to the fallen timbers of the north side of the palisade wall.

The Hall

The hall of Heorot is actually much more grand than this. The wood is polished and almost shines with an otherworldly glow. There are many details carved into the wood, especially at the entrances and crosspieces. Inside, it is even more beautiful to behold, like an image out of a dream. When the fire is lit and men are gathered on either side, it is like a moment in history given life by magic.

A dessicated arm the size of a giant hangs above the firepit, tied and nailed to the crossbeam far above.

The Labs

There are three cottages that have been outfitted as Hermetic laboratories. One looks like the magus who lived there (Pancrestis of Bonisagus) was in the middle of a lab project when he left it, though the other two are more spartan.

The Forest

There are very few animals living in this area.

The Waters

Many small lakes and bogs surround the covenant grounds.

Fields

Fallow, though if tended they could probably feed a community of about a hundred souls.

Roskilde

The nearest settlement, about ten miles from Heorot, is Roskilde. It boasts a church, a half-finished cathedral, and a strong Dominion aura. It is a busy trading port, with many ships sending fish, salt, and other goods back and forth from the mainland. Heorot has an evil reputation there.

The Region

The covenant of Oculus Septentrionalis is in Lubeck, the port city from which the magi sailed to Zealand (called Sjlandia here). Roskilde is on the northern side of Zealand. Heorot is several miles southwest of Roskilde.
