General Information
Leona appears as a tall, wiry woman, dressed in a simple shift of fine green silk. Sun bleached hair, golden brown skin, and heavily callused, grass-stained bare feet: these all attest to the amount of time she spends out-of-doors. The trained eye might recognize the too-fair hair and too-bright eyes as marks of fey-touching. Quite shy with those she is unfamiliar with, her speech is so soft as to be mistaken often for mumbling. This shyness is all but forgotten when she takes the majestic shape of her heartbeast, the lion.
Her Hermetic training focuses primarily on Animal and Herbam, though she spends so much time outside the laboratory that she well deserves her reputation as a hedge wizard; however, House Bjornaer holds her in high esteem. Leona is fond of uisce beatha, ogham carvings, fidchell, and storytelling.
While Bjornaer magi are incapable of binding familiars, Leona is accompanied by a shaggy black bear named Fearghus, and a large white gyrfalcon named Medb-- both with the sparkle of intelligence in their eyes.
Mundanes often mistake Leona for a rich, eccentric noble. This is likely due to her regal bearing, the quality of the silks she wears, and the king's bird on her shoulder.
