Like any city, Arcadia has it's sections, it's places, just like any large town. The only difference being is it is connected to other worlds by a nexus running through it. Arcadia is divided into four sections as a city. All four sections are named after mythological places or deities, as well as some locations. Note that because input and locations are constantly being added, nothing is quite official yet. Complaints, suggestions, or input are welcome; for more information, seek the contact page.

[edit] Calliope

Calliope is the Greek muse of epic poetry. This section itself is what you could say is the commerce and entertainment part of Arcadia. Typically, you can find your usual sports, shopping centers, theateres, and stations leading out of Arcadia. Interestingly enough, it said crime fluctuates here, especially up towards the northeast part of Calliope.

May Mall Avenue I know, lame title. This is a fairly large shopping center, not so much of a mall. It consists of resturants (some between cheep to very lavish), clothing stores, your occasional fairs and conventions, markets, and naturally, a mall.
Mnemosyne Aerodrome Mnemosyne was the mother of Calliope, and all of the muses. She is the titaness, daughter to Uranus and Gaia. Mnemosyne is also the river of memories in the underworld. The Aerodrome shall house the nexus, airport and airship hangars. All three of these areas are monitored closely for acts of terrorism, mischief or just general trouble making.
Calliope North Station This is the main hub of the subway system, that interlinks Candor University, Mnemosyne Aerodrome, Deluge Delta and Port, and down to Knossos Central Station.
Grand Hall working title. The Grand Hall is where the largest events take place, ranging from social meetings, city gatherings, and the Calliope Gala in February. It's location is set further away from May Mall Avenue, close to the Calliope North Station, easy to access by the subway system interconnecting Arcadia.

[edit] Sídhe

Sídhe is an Irish and Scottish Gaelic word referring first to earthen mounds that were thought to be home to a supernatural race related to the fey and elves of other traditions, and later to these inhabitants themselves. The Sídhe or Sìth are variously believed to be the ancestors, the spirits of nature, or the goddesses and gods themselves. Sídhe is the more natural part of Arcadia, with a patchy forest, Deluge Delta. It's fairly populated with a few neighborhoods and small residents that own their own businesses. Sídhe is also what you can call a "tourist trap", where Abydos beach attracts many from other worlds, and especially people from Candor University. Down towards the southwest is Knossos Central Station.

Deluge Delta Deluge refers to the mythology around epic floods, involving Noah, Gilgamesh, and others within many religions. Deluge Delta is a natural resource, filtering the sea water into water for the city. Arcadia's main water supply is stationed here.
Deluge Port The ships come and go through here, like a normal port. It's an average docking station, pretty much. Deluge Port is just as old as Methuselah.
Knossos Central Station This is where the subway station ends, and the train station also goes through here, as it does through all four parts of Arcadia. It's the man hub where tourists, Abydos visitors come for the beach and the Sídhe scenery.
Abydos Beach Abydos was the ancient city in Egypt, right next to the Nile river and is connected to the three archetype mythological figures, Isis, Osiris, and Horus. This as mentioned is a popular getaway location, where it's blessed with warm weather during the spring and summer, and mildly chilly weather during the fall and winter.

[edit] Methuselah

Methuselah might as well be the historic district of Arcadia. Methuselah refers to the oldest man in the Hebrew bible, said to be at least 969 years of age, the son of Enoch, and father of Lamech, which makes him the grandfather to Noah. This is also the "backbone", where Arcadia originate. A lot of it's old charm still exists, down to some cobblestone streets that are narrow, only for pedestrians to walk on. It's also remembered for it's Victorian, Georgian-esqe architecture in some of the buildings and houses. Especially in the Annwn suburbs. Methuselah is rumored to be haunted, supposedly a Hell's mouth (gate, vortex, portal, nexus, etc) rests in Lamech Hall, the old town hall when Arcadia was just being formed.

Annwn Suburbia Or simply "Annwn" typically. Annwn was said to be the otherworld in Celtic mythology, where souls of the dead reside. It is an interesting play on the fact many of the old buildings down here still exist. Regardless, Annwn is a very beautiful neighborhood, old building being passed down to families, in some cases. Not to mention, it is haunted after all, said that some of the houses were built over unknown graves. Hauntings and all of that are quite normal.
Cŵn Annwn Cemetery In Welsh mythology, Cŵn Annwn ("hounds of Annwn") were the white, red-eared ghostly hounds of Annwn, the island otherworld of the afterlife. It speaks for itself. It is very close to the neighborhood, locked up, as many of the graves have been worn down, unable to be read from vandalism and age. Not many like to go in here. It's closed off on a small section of land, inherited by an unnamed heir, and locked up to keep intruders out.

[edit] Verdandi

Verdandi, one of the three fates, the Norns, meaning "to be", from Norse Mythology. Primarily, this section is all about knowledge, power, and business once again. Candor University resides in this district, right in the middle of Arcadia, almost. Verdandi is almost the most busiest section, partially newer than the other three places. There's mostly apartments up here, hardly any suburbs.

Candor University The large college, that accepts many, from within the city, and outsiders as well. Candor means "truth", and has no mythological tie, except for it's buildings are tied to many mythological figures. Brand new, ready to take in many and offers different courses for AP high school students and regular ones.
Deva Apartments Funded by the school for some of it's off-campus students, especially for the upper classmen. Deva refers to Hinduism, meaning "god", or demi-gods.
Skuld District Skuld was also a Norn, the fate of what is to come, sister to Verdandi. Skuld district is another set of apartments and housing, separate from the Deva ones. It should be noted that Skuld District has NO affiliation with the housing plan by Candor University.
