Ryuusei Cartwight is the primary antagonist in the Truth Saga alongside The'galin and Diviara. He is evil beyond imagining. He first appeared in session XIV of the Epic on Carelestia. He is the seekers current arch-foe.

Session XIV "In which a sinister figure appears, the gravity of the situation is realized, and a choice is made"

Ryuusei first appeared in Session XIV. He appeared at the far side of a room the seekers were staying in and taunted them. David Viara recongized him, and Cartwright attempted to invade his mind. Soon, Viara was driven to kill himself by Cartwright. The seekers fought for the gun, which went off, killing Wes, another seeker at the time. The ensuing battle resulted in the deaths of Hsarc and Viara. Ryuusei escaped in the fighting.

Session XVIII "In which Glenn visits David's apartment, and the seekers are trapped"

Ryuusei appeared briefly at the end of session XVIII, laying a trap for the seekers.

Session XIX "In which reality is rearranged, Ryuusei escapes uncreation and gains a servant"

Ryuusei appears in session XIX having just set a trap for the seekers. He warps reality, sending them to the home of a man who calls the police. The man tries to use magic but is struck through by Ryuusei. The man's wife, Euginia, reveals she is a djinni and attacks the seekers. Ryuusei grabs the dead man's wand and escapes.

Session XXII "In which the seekers are drawn into darkness, walls are thinned, and one life is given to save another"

The seekers have just been drawn into Diviara's ruined mind when Ryuusei appears. He reveals that it all was a trap, and soon the seekers would be dead. The ensuing battle results in the death of Daniel and Dale, but Diviara is healed. Ryuusei vanishes afterward.

Session XXIV "In which Falerin rages over a violation, Ryuusei traps the seekers, and analogs are recohered at last"

The seekers are mourning for the dead, as Ryuusei appears and draws them into another reality. He fights them and blasts Fulcan Ryst, a famous seeker, into oblivion. Ryuusei, as usual, escapes. However, the seekers won this battle: the analogs have been recohered at last.

Session XXXV "In which the Seekers are captured by Ryuusei and Diviara's loyalty is tested"

The seekers are drawn into an iron cell by Ryuusei, as he taunts them. He summons Diviara and Ojodeldevorador, and Ojodeldevorador is named the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" of the seekers. Ryuusei reveals that it was he who killed Diviara's wife, not Diviara himself. Diviara had long since known he'd been framed, but is shocked to see that it was Ryuusei who framed him. Fulcan Ryst, recently ressurected by Falerin, fights but is killed yet again. Ryuusei orders Diviara to kill the seekers for him, just as Falerin rips reality once more.

Session XXXVI "In which Ojodeldevorador is ordered judge, jury, and executioner of the Omninauts"

Ojodeldevorador has just been named "Judge, Jury, and Exectutioner" of the seekers. Ryuusei, laughing madly, orders Ojodeldevorador to kill the seekers. One by one, they aare killed, only to have Falerin rip reality and save the seekers once more. They awaken in a park, with Ryuusei nowhere in sight.

Session XXXVII "In which a prince of Washington DC sends the Omninauts to the past"

The seekers are knocked back in time to Gil Viara's apartment. As they enter, it is revealed to have been a trap- Ryuusei and Diviara are waiting for them. Ryuusei uses the cold to knock out Useless, while Diviara defeats Gil and Dale. The session ends tragically: Useless is murdered by Diviara, while Ryuusei cackles evilly in the background. The reality-warping laptop whirs up, and Ryuusei is blown to another reality, as the seekers are blown to another time. They realize that, in their normal time, Zephyr has already killed them.
