[edit] History

[edit] Before...

Kuri always lived in Tokyo. Her mother worked one job, while her father worked two. Kuri had always said that when she got old enough, she would get a part-time job to try and help. Her parents told her that she didn’t need to, but she insisted.

Her school life went pretty well. She was mildly popular, mostly due to her singing talents. Her best friends moved to different parts of Japan, leaving Kuri there, only with a few people that had only considered her as a friend because she was one of the other two girls’ friends.

For a while after that, she had to try whatever she could to keep herself happy. Her parents got her a bird (the specific species has yet to actually be decided) for a pet. That helped keep her happy, and also it gave her something to talk about at school, giving her more friends again.

Now that everything seemed better for her, Kuri could finally think about getting a part time job. Her parents still told her that she didn’t need to, but she still said that she would. She didn’t see any job openings that really interested her.

She had just been wandering around, still looking for a job, when she saw something strange. The area around her seemed to become black with white star-like things, and she saw two birds flying in front of, and around her. She quickly recognized them as the White-necked Raven and the White Dove. She didn’t understand what was going on. It wasn’t long before she noticed that the two birds flew straight into the same spot on her neck, leaving a strange mark on it.

Kuri found herself on the ground after that. She assumed that she had been spending too much time looking for a job that she fell asleep, and that was just a dream. It wasn’t until she was attacked by a random Chimera Anima, though, that she realized that her theory was quite incorrect.

Without even realizing that she was doing so, Kuri called out the words “Mew Mew Chestnut, Metamorphosis!” The next thing she knew, she was fighting the Chimera Anima, and barely won, due to the inaccuracy of her attacking move.

Well, she got her part time job. She was now a part time waitress at café mew mew, part time student, and full time superhero.

[edit] ...And After

Kuri’s first mission as a mew was to search for mew aqua at the ocean. It was there that she got to know Kira, Sachiko, and Akeru, and came in contact with a fallen Angelique for the first time - Mitsuki. The search for this Mew Aqua ended with it choosing Kira.

Kuri and Akeru had only recently devised their combo attack, when they were called in to battle by Natsu, who had been going on a ‘Date’ with Meshi that afternoon. They were against about Fifty Chimera Anima, being controlled by an alien who knew almost nothing about Chimera Anima - Chyp. At the time, Chyp had not wanted to summon so many Chimera Anima, but was forced to by Mitsuki, who was higher in Repuren rankings than she was. It turned out that they were fighting for Mew Aqua again.

A few weeks later, Kuri was called in to explore the Western Area of what appeared to be the ruins of an ancient city with Akeru and Sachiko. (Details about this and on have yet to be added D=)

[edit] Personality

Kuri is quiet when it comes to talking. She doesn't like to talk to other people too much (or at least, that's how it's supposed to be, anyway. Who knows how long that will last knowing my pattern...), but instead prefers singing. When it comes to that, she's loud and in tune.

[edit] Relationships

[edit] Family

Not much is known about Kuri's family except for the fact that they are, in no way, rich. She has no known siblings.

[edit] Friends

Kuri's closest friends are assumed to be the mews in general, especially Akeru (Who has not been played in a while).

[edit] Lovelife

During the Truth or Dare thread in the Karasu's 30th Birthday event, Kuri seems to have developed a very small crush on Kuro. There doesn't seem to be any specific reason why, but during that thread, when he tells her to do something, she shuts up and does it. Maybe she's just afraid of him, but it does seem to be kind of like a crush...

[edit] Mew Stuffes

Mew Kuri is Represented by Toko from Lovely Idol

[edit] Weapon

Kuri's weapon is the Chestnut Ribbons. There are two of them - One is black, the other is white.

[edit] Attacks

Kuri has three solo attacks, and one combo attack (that was used... once I think?).

[edit] Solo Attacks

[edit] Reborn Kuri Glitter

Kuri closes her eyes calmly as she brings her arms above her head, and they cross at the wrists. Her ribbons start twirling around her, and she calls out the attack. Each ribbon releases 5 little glitters, which happen to be bombs. They explode when they come in contact with anything; let it be another mew, an alien, a chimera animal, or a tree. It's impossible to aim.

[edit] Reborn Kuri Spirit

Kuri jumps at least one foot into the air (She most likely will not be flying already), and closes her eyes calmly. She holds her arms out in front of her, and once again, crosses them at the wrist (see a pattern?). The ribbons begin twirling around her arms. She calls out the name of the attack, and her eyes shoot open. She then "aims" the attack, and the ribbons began heading in the direction of her target. This attack does no damage; it is used to ensnare the target.

[edit] Reborn Chestnut Shield

Kuri quickly kneels onto one knee, and holds her arms out in front of her. Her arms are bent at the elbows, and are crossed at about halfway between the elbow and the wrist (=O not at the wrist this time!). She calls out the name of the attack, as the ribbons harden, seeming to form a chestnut shell of sorts. She generally will only use this to fend of attacks from the front to conserve energy, but if need be, she can make it go all the way around her, but not for very long. This attack can only be used to protect Kuri, unless the other person she may want to protect is nearby her.

[edit] Combo Attack: Reborn Chestberry Spiritual Frost

  • Combo Type: Double Attack
  • Mew Involved: Mew Chestnut (Kuri), Mew Akeru
  • Old Attacks Being Combind: Reborn Kuri Spirit, Ribbon Blueberry Frost
  • New Attack Name: Reborn Chestberry Spritual Frost
  • New Attack Description: Kuri and Akeru stand back to back Kuri then has the ribbons swirl around the both of them, the black one around the neck area and the white one more around the waist. They call out the attack, and They both point towards the target. The ribbons quickly shoot in that direction, and ensnare said target. Akeru then sends the (assumed to be) blue blast towards the same target, all in all, giving the effect of stunning, or Chimera Anima Removal.

[edit] Other Random Trivia

  • Kuri has Two Bird DNA, has a last name that means wing, and was born in the year of the Rooster.
  • When she was created, I did a pathetic pun in the name, that no one needs to understand.
    • It's a crappy reference to Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
  • I had already decided at first that she would enjoy singing, and it turns out that her mew appearance is a picture of a character from Lovely Idol
    • Which, if you didn't know, is about people who sing
