History

Before

Before her official Kokoro debut, Sucreko was, and still is, a rich girl living on a large private estate outside of Tokyo. Like the Nijirose family, she is incredibly wealthy. For the majority of her childhood Sucreko was very sickly and could not leave the estate so never made any real friends. She first met Satou when she was 11 and Satou was 14, before Satou's parents died. They were very close friends and Sucreko began thinking of the older girl as a big sister. However, when Satou's parents died, their relationship changed drastically, and Satou began ignoring her.

Desperate to get her cousin to acknowledge her, Sucreko moved to Tokyo and now lives with Mrs. Nijirose.

Current

Sucreko was fairly quick to adjust to her life with Mrs. Nijirose though, during her first day in Tokyo, she met and became friends with Meshi. It was still hard for her to make friends so for quite a while afterward he remained her only friend. During a Mew Aqua battle which occurred on the day that she met Meshi, however, Mew Sugar made a mirror copy of the Black Knight (Meshi), thus bringing Kuro-Meshi into existence. Ever since then her hair has been dirty blonde and she's slowly getting sick. In a side roleplay involving Thomas and Haru, Sucreko transformed for the first time after mirroring Meshi and, shortly after the battle, got dizzy and blacked out for a second.

Personality

For the most part, Sucreko can be summed up as "shy". She is very easily frightened, startled, etc. and tends to stutter a lot and hide behind people she trusts. Her manners can be very extreme to the point that she always uses polite speech. Sucreko is a pretty nice girl. She looks out for those around her and tends to sell herself short. She loves to make friends and just make people happy but has the issue of being too scared and shy to accept someone as a real friend, scared that she'll just burden them. The few friends she does acknowledge took a burst of courage to make and she 'struggles' to maintain a positive relationship, terrified of being rejected.

Speech Habits

Sucreko has a few odd speech habits. For one, she always speaks politely, regardless of to whom she is talking. She also calls almost everyone "-san" and tends to use both English (Mr, Miss, Mrs) and Japanese (-san) honorifics. Her other habits usually mimic for beloved cousin Satou. She goes 'au' 'nya' mipa' 'ni' 'hau' 'myu' 'nano desu' etc like her cousin to try and get Satou to like her more.

Relationships

Family

Nijirose Momoko - Her aunt. They have a very positive relationship, since before adopting Satou, Mrs. Nijirose spoiled Sucreko as if they were mother and daughter.

Kuroneko Satou - Her cousin through adoption. Sucreko loves her to bits.

Chrono - He has been her 'older brother' since she was little and is Sucreko's personal bodyguard. Though one may not notice it, he is just about always following her, ready to beat up anyone who does anything 'wrong'. Sucreko adores him and is oblivious to how overprotective he is.

Friends

Fudou Meshi - When Sucreko first started living in Tokyo, Meshi was the first person she got the courage to call her friend. She is very attached to him and he tends to be the first person she thinks about since she values her first friend almost more than her life. However, she knows very little about him, a fact that constantly haunts her.

Ito Okashi - After Christmas Shopping together, Sucreko feels that she can call Okashi a friend. Okashi was her very first female friend other than Satou as means a lot to her.

Truong Thomas - He was with her when Okashi helped her Christmas shop for Meshi. Sucreko thinks of him as an older brother sometimes and is often very upset and hurt when he leaves her to spend time with others.

Haru - A friend of Thomas' that Sucreko met in Akihabara. He was very kind to her and she feels a bit uneasy around him, unsure as to why she keeps wishing Meshi treated her like how Haru does. Sucreko likes to shop with Haru and wants to watch anime with him sometime.

Kuro-Meshi - She feels responsible for his being created. Since it saps her of a lot of her energy to keep his form up right now she always looks for reasons not to think he's a waste of energy.

Lovelife

Fudou Meshi - He was the first person Sucreko ever felt comfortable around and Sucreko is slowly falling in love. The only issue is that she doesn't realize it's love quite yet. However, because Sucreko fell in love with her first friend, she's set her standards for the feeling of friendship at a love standard, so has a hard time making more friends. (kind of confusing I know)

Mew Mew Information

Mew Sugar drawn by Satouberri

Basics

Weapon and Attack

Her weapon is called the "Sugared Mirror", a cutesy pink mirror. It is accompanied with a heart-shaped watch that hangs off a ribbon around her mew form's waist. Mew Sugar's attack is "Reborn Sugar Sweet Illusion" and it makes mirror copies that vanish if attacked. When a mirror copy is made her clock begins ticking and once the hand passes the 12 again the illusion vanishes whether or not it was attacked. The illusions cannot use magic abilities unless the one they're mirrored form is using it.

Mirror Ability

Mew Sugar's mirror copies do not vanish when she returns to Craneko Sucreko, but last until their time runs out or someone destroys them. Because of this, the clock around her waist is a constant item that only vanishes if she has no mirror copies out. When Sucreko is untransformed and still has a mirror out her clock tells her how much time is left and her hair remains dirty blonde like in her Mew Form. She also has the option of extending a Mirror's time but it is very exhausting and eventually makes her quite ill.

The Illness

If Sucreko stays in her "in between" form, where she is using Mew powers as a human, for too long than she becomes horribly ill. For the most part she just gets really tired and after every Mew transformation she begins to pass out, taking longer to recover every time. Think Kazune from Kamichama Karin.

The Lone Mew

Mew Sugar is almost unknown to the majority of Tokyo Mew Mew. Because she is so shy and lacks confidence, Mew Sugar tries not to burden the actual Mews and works solo. She is known in the newspaper and on TV but the public that sees her usually assumes that she is part of the main Mew Force. The Azure Knight (Chrono) is the only one who Mew Sugar continuously fights alongside.

Trivia

  • Her rich-ness is similar to that of Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku!
  • Her name is parody on Satou's someday-gonna-make-it manga, Sucre*Crane
  • If she had a Seiyuu it would be Yui Horie
