History
Before
Rika was born to a family of Americans living in Japan, so while she herself was Japanese, her parents were English-speaking Otaku. At a young age, perhaps around when she was nine or ten, her parents left her one night to wait in the park and never came back. For the next year, Rika struggled to live on her own and not get taken to an orphanage, hoping her parents would eventually come back for her. She eventually moved in with a kind older woman by the name of Tanaku, with whom she lived until she turned fourteen. At this time Tanaku was moved to a nursing home and Rika slipped away so as to not cause the older woman anymore trouble. Without Tanaku to live with anymore, Rika decided to take up living on her own. She had been working part time at a cafe so kept her job and moved into the spare room upstairs.
