Adriovision is a song contest held in Adrijin annually where each nation of the Adrian Continent has a chance to win the event for their own nation.

Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. Each country participates via one of their national television stations, whose task it is to select a singer and a song to represent their country in the international competition.

It is also one of the most-watched non-sporting events in the world as it is broadcasted outside of Adria to such places as Jistisland, who was declined of participation due to it being a non-Adrian nation.

Kypakos was the inaugural Adriovision Song Contest where it was held Ionic Sports Hall, a modest arena located in the northern suburbs of Kypakos. The arena can seat 7,000 people for concerts while attendance was approx. 7,400 people at the first Adriovision.

Hosting

The Adriovision song contest aims on promoting the host city and country as a tourist destination. Expenses of the event are covered by the event sponsors and the contributions from partacipating nations. Preparations for the event begin in a matter of weeks after the country wins the previous contest and accepts the hosting rights. A host city is chosen and a suitable concert venue. It is always a consideration, when choosing a host city and venue, what hotel and press facilities there are in the vicinity.

Voting

The voting system used in the contest is via SMS/text or phone call to Adriovision call centers located in the television station that broadcasts the show (The number to send via SMS/text is 1414 and via phone call is 1-800-186-1414 to NRBC call center if you are in Newport.). This is known as televote. The two songs most voted for by viewers are the two votes made by a country, with the most popular song having 15 points and the second, 10 points. A country cannot vote for its own song.
