Born the second son of one of the Lords of Trodenhiem, and thus gaining the title of Don. He made a big splash early on in his life when aged just 16 he was arrested for taking part in a Pro-Liberty march that resulted in violence when Stomalkov's CP Riot Teams were called in to disperse the protest. His father's standing managed to get him let off with just a caution, however this did not stop Don Elric who was later arrested for assaulting a CP Officer during a later protest.

His father then decided to send him to the University of Geddon, where he studied Politics, Sociology and Economics. Here he came to blows with his older brother Lord Alphriek Voltaire over thier differing political views. Again his father intervened, and though he agreed with Don Elric's liberal views, was forced to move his second son to a different college at the prestigous institution. While studying at the UoG he joined a number of political organisations including the Liberal Alliance, and became known as the Freedom Phantom for his numerous exploits in saving the lives of innocent Latagonians during the genocides. He was also responsible for the ZetaResh 5 Installation Bombing in 1999 in which half the nation's factoria were forced to shut down.

His later actions however calmed down as Vadran Kelt and later Konstantin took the reigns, he was consulted more and more over social and economic policy and was eventually elected High Chancellor of Trodenhiem.
