Zelada is a small, unassuming world - and that is just the way the inhabitants would like it to stay - far away from the prying eyes of the Federation and the Empire. The planet, itself, is an ocean world, 79% covered in water. While there are no dangerous native creatures living on land, the water is filled with massive leviathans who constantly bother the growing water reclimation and export industry - and by bother, meaning trying to eat the buildings, ships, and people of (and sometimes succeeding!). Going to the beach for recreation is definatly not advised. There was some speculation that the Space Medusa evolved on this world due to similar creatures of similar size with similar tastes (starship-sized prey) that live deep in the oceans. Although recently, scientists stated that the two are completely unrelated. Even though the temperature of Zelada borders on tropical, there are no dense forests.
