The mysterious SOTF founder and Administrator. There really isn't much known about her regarding personal details, other than that her age range is eleven to eighteen. Whomever she is, she started making her site on June 12th, 2005, after reading up to volume 12 of the Battle Royale manga and doing research only to find that there weren't any other roleplays in that format out there. It was the format she had practically grown up on, and the one that gives Survival of the Fittest some of its flair. Yet, too much freedom would result in failure, much like all the other (non-Battle Royale, this was her first) sites she had made in the past. Constantly reminded of her past, she took a few days to meditate to make up the rules.
The core basics of it was from a samurai roleplay she had administrated before. The first version of the site had failed, while the second had thrived, since Kaishi learned from her mistakes. Alas, though, the second version of that Feudal Japan roleplay fell into inactivity and also died off sometime in March '05, partially by her own doing.
It also took some research to complete the site, since, at the time, she hadn't even watched the movie. The source of her help was the popular BattleRoyaleFilm site. Fortunately, by the time the roleplay had officially began (on June 25th, 2005) she had seen the movie dozens of times, giving her a much broader knowledge of Battle Royale. And then, rise! Yeah! Kapowie!
Armed with that and the know-how of being a semi-wonderful Admin, she began to run the site. At first, stubborness got the best of her and she turned down any notions of getting help. That changed on July 5th, 2005 when running a site by your lonesome just got too tough. Moderator applications took place, and voila, staff team!
Things were looking great for Survival of the Fittest. The site was growing, everything was going great. Members flowing in, characters being made. Oh yeah, fantastico!
And then, the stomach virus. Going down for a few days with a seriously horrible pain, Kaishi seemed to have disappeared. What's worse than that is that, after that (between late August and up until the end of September '05?), Kai had no drive to deal with SOTF. Talk about recreating the forum into something new went around the site during those horrible days, along with questions as to where Kai was, how she was doing, etcetera.
Enter September 30th, 2005, and Kaishi was back with a new lease for Survival of the Fittest. Said by she in her returning topic: ". . . I'm going to make SOTF work this time. I'm not going to take off without notice anymore. I'm going to stay here as long as I can, and do my best to visit this place everyday. Nothing's guaranteed, but I'll try to be here from now on."
Hurrah, glorious days! It might've been rocky to start getting SOTF back into the flow of things, but with help from all the other members of the site, SOTF got back on track. So much so in fact, that Kaishi had to make a nasty character cap on November 25th, 2005.
Crazy, stupid, wild, insane, on a sugar high, whatever she is, we all know her as Kaishi! She has roleplayed as Sydney Morvran, Mason Lucien, Katherine Marks, and adopted Xian Chun (from yumi22), Ryan Torres (profile written by foamy), and Ian Hargrave (profile written by Slayer). And, if you really want to get into it, then she's also roleplayed as Danya and those pesky terrorists.
