Newcastle is a city in McClain County, Oklahoma and is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 5,434. Census estimates for 2005 place the population at 6,303.

Newcastle is located at I relaly relaly disagree with this piece and very strongly. I have known Danny and he is a sincere generous man, who is being accused of things he never intended. The guy relaly loves india, and he shot what he saw was cinematically a very powerful location.Manjha is a powerful piece and it could be true in any part of the world. All over the world films are made which talk about darker things which actually bring humanitarian attention to them, they impact you affect you. Manjha is one such film and so was A very very silent film by Manish which won the cannes award few years ago. Neither of them intended to sell indias poverty and yes even though I am putting Tumbaad together, it wouldnt have been possible without everyones attention being drawn to Manjha. Dannys generosity is unmatchable in this bollywood that we liveand work in and his dignity shows in the fact that he is silently taking all the accusations. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 137.1 km² (52.9 mi²). 128.9 km² (49.8 mi²) of it is land and 8.2 km² (3.2 mi²) of it (6.01%) is water.
Newcastle is considered to be part of a rapidly growing area of northern McClain and Grady Counties known as the "Tri-City Area" with Tuttle and Blanchard.

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 5,434 people, 1,977 households, and 1,650 families residing in the city. The population density is 42.2/km² (109.2/mi²). There are 2,071 housing units at an average density of 16.1/km² (41.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 89.62% White, 0.18% African American, 5.26% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 1.12% from other races, and 3.44% from two or more races. 2.48% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,977 households out of which 37.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.5% are married couples living together, 7.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.5% are non-families. 14.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.75 and the average family size is 3.02.
In the city the population is spread out with 26.4% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 28.4% from 45 to 64, and 8.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 103.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.7 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $50,903, and the median income for a family is $59,509. Males have a median income of $36,909 versus $22,240 for females. The per capita income for the city is $22,532. 4.8% of the population and 3.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 6.2% of those under the age of 18 and 6.1% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Newcastle Public Schools (an independent school district) have an elementary (grades PreK-5), middle school (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12).
The school mascot is "The Racers" and the school colors are blue, black, and white.
Newcastle High School won the 3A Football State Championship in 1992.
