Hints

  • Read the Game Direction link in the navigation toolbar to catch up on what is currently happening.
  • Look at other peoples work. If you click the 'edit' tab of any page, it will show you how the page is constructed. Copy that and change the relevant information and you should be OK.
  • Just about anything you can screw up can be fixed, so experiment. Use the 'Show Preview' Button at the bottom of your edits to see if everything is the way you want it before you save it for good.
  • If you don't know how something works, ask someone. The easiest way is to make a post on the 'Game Direction' Page or click on someone's name and click the 'discussion' tab to leave them a message.
  • Open two windows. Use one to edit and do your business; use one to research and cross-reference.

What should I do first

  • Read the Ruleset. You can find both the 'Current Ruleset' as well as 'All rules and Proposals' links. Print out a copy to help you cross-reference rules (they all do it). If something doesn't make sense, ask. Its possible (and likely) the current players may have missed a contradiction or loophole. Heck, exploit it if you can.
  • Set up your *username* page. Once you have signed in, look to the upperleft corner of the screen. Click on your name and be greeted with a message saying you've followed a link to a page that doesn't exist yet. Check out other peoples 'homepages' to get some ideas. All you really need is a greeting for now. Next to your *username* in that corner will be a link for *my talk*. This is a good place to leave a message you may want a response to. It can be a good dropbox for exchanging messages with another player.
  • Explore: Go to the Main Page and check out the Anouncements; click on Recent changes to see all activity within the site; etc.
