President of Yarra Theological Union

International Women's Day Dinner - 2007

On Friday March 9 over 120 people attended our International Women’s Day Dinner at the Tudor in Box Hill. There was a great deal of interest in this event and it proved to be a wonderful evening.

Social Policy Connections Newsletter

Social Policy Connections (SPC) is an independent ecumenical organization inspired by Christian social teaching. Their aim is to help stimulate in Australia a keener consciousness of social justice issues; and to influence public policy for the common good nationally and globally. SPC will have a research desk at YTU, and an office behind St. Ignatius Church in Richmond.

Grants for Research and Education in Ethics, 2008

The Mary Philippa Brazill Foundation was established in 1993 for the purpose of providing financial support for research and education in ethics with an emphasis on the ethics of health care and with special regard to the promotion of these activities in Catholic institutions in Australia.

The Trustees of the Foundation invite applications for grants for 2008 from individuals in their personal capacity and/or as representatives of institutions wishing to sponsor scholars and conferences.

New Appointment

We are pleased to announce that Meg Rice has been appointed as Community Development Coordinator for YTU. This is a full time appointment, and Meg’s primary role will be to identify opportunities for promotion of YTU from groups both internal and external to YTU.
