"Let's go, girls," you say to Daphne and Lisa as you climb out of the hot tub.
Everyone looks at you. Daphne gets out of the tub as well. Jenny looks at Lisa and Lisa looks between you and her mom.
"No, let's go, Lisa," Jenny says as she hurries out of the hot tub.
"She can make her own decisions," you tell Jenny. "She's an adult now."
Lisa looks back to you and smiles. She gets out of the tub and takes your hand. Jenny storms out of the house.
"I wasn't expecting that," Daphne says. "We could go to my bedroom if you want."
