"So, are you excited for the first day of school?" Damn, you can feel the awkwardness in the delivery.
"I'm 18 jackass." He scowls, exactly like an old man does when kids are on his lawn. Then he precedes,"I know we're not friends but I was literally in all of your classes in middle school." Hmm, in reality everyday is kind of a blur. So forgetting the kid in the corner is pretty easy and yet, there were only 153 kids in your graduating class... Before you can truly ponder, he disturbs your train of thought," Remember that big-ass English project for Mrs.McCoy we did together? You know the one where we created a play based off The Picture of Dorian Gray?
Oh shit- "Isaiah?, wow man you look so...different." Apparently, a lot can happen in a couple years. He quickly interjects before you're bewilderment can get to your head,"Yeah, I going through so changes right now." He pauses then continues, "I came out as gay a few years back and to be honest it's been rough."
In this town you'd rather reveal you're fucking your cousin than be gay.
"Ironically, the undertones in Dorian Gray had me starting to question my sexuality" he chuckled, " and the boner from the movie confirmed it."
"You're really fucking strong Isiah,I hope you know that."
" Not really to be honest." He pauses. "You'd be surprised what you'll do for love; it's true I don't have my family anymore but Thomas, my boyfriend, he's kinda like my new family. The type that'll love you unconditionally." The bus comes to a screeching halt and on that note, it's time to start the day.
