Tell them to stay back and let you fight

You let out a sharp command. "Stay back! I will take this man down on my own. Let this be an example of what happens to evildoers!"
The guards stop in surprise, letting out protests.
"Silence! I am ordering you!" you yell.
The cloaked man takes advantage of the moment and decides to try and bust his way through the circle and out the gates. He slashes three surprised guards and manages to slip through the men. He breaks for the gates.
"AFTER HIM!!" you shout, and lunge towards him, 15 guards following close behind. The man is surprisingly fast, and as he runs out the gates and turns a corner, you lose sight of him for a moment.
You round the corner and he's gone. What? He couldn't have gone that fast, you were just behind him...
- Order your men to search the area
- Continue running in the direction he dissapeared
- Give up and return to your room
